Rocky Mountains National Park is located about 55 miles northwest of Denver in north-central Colorado.
The park consists of 415 square miles of mountain ranges, meadows, and lakes.
There are 5 developed campgrounds in the Rocky Mountains. These are Moraine Park Campground, the
Longs Peak Campground, the Aspenglen Campground, the Timber Creek Campground, and the Glacier
Basin Campground.
The Moraine campground is undergoing construction in which its
water and electrical systems are being upgraded at this time. The campground will be closed
during the summer and fall of 2024.

The Longs Peak campground is located near the Rio Grande on the east side
of the park. This campground is open year-round. A charcoal fire in above-ground grill are allowed, along with
liquid fuel stoves. The site is set in a grove of cottonwood and acacia trees. Available nearby to enjoy is
birdwatching and hiking.

The Aspenglen campground is located on the east side of Rocky Mountain
National Park, near the Fall River Entrance to the park. There are 51 campsites available during the
summer months.

The Timber Creek campgroun is located on the west side of Rocky
Mountain National Park. It's about eights miles north of the Grand Lake entrance to the park,
and sits along the Colorado River. Timber Creek is open during the summer season from late
May to mid October.

The Glacier Basin campground is reached by driving about 5 miles
up Bear Lake Road. The entrance is across from the Park & Ride Parking Area. There are
190 campsites available.
